What do you do when you get a word from God or receive confirmation after confirmation on something you know you are supposed to be doing yet you keep putting it off? Relentlessly Evolving reveals the many times that God will give us opportunities and we still do not move forward. You will find out in life that we often sit on the sideline when we are the star players. My story, shameful and painful truths added up to impacting me more than obtaining degrees. It wasn't until I learned to embrace my destiny that I realized that God was always for me. Your shameful moments don't have to keep you feeling alone. You are not alone.
 
About the Author
 
A native of Mississippi, Dr. Lakicha Jernigan, better known as “Dr. J.” has experienced her share of heartbreaks, successes, and false love as a Preacher’s Kid (PK), a sibling, a college student, and during womanhood. “Dr. J.” is a graduate of Mississippi State University and has earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Community College Leadership, an Educational Specialist in Special Education, a Master of Science in Special Education, and a Bachelor of Science in Educational Psychology. She published her first Publication in April 2016 titled, “The Effects of Social Media Use on Community College Students.” “Dr. J.” has worked in the Mental Health Field for 12 years. “Dr. J.” works as the District Behavioral Specialist for the Louisville Municipal School District and has held this position for seven years. A Certified Manager of Louisville/Winston County Excel by 5, an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. of the Clay County Alumnae Chapter, West Point, Mississippi, the Member Specialist for Kingdom Sniper Institute (KSI), a wife, a mother, and an active member of Mount Bell M. B. Church, Louisville, MS, she believes God for the impossible, and now her life empowers women into becoming their best selves.
